Visiting Jomtien again and took a look at the weekend night market. Again delicious food, but also clothes and lots of other stuff such as electronics and so on. I myself was looking for shoes primarily, and finally bought 3 pairs.. Also I got a couple of t-shirts and a pair of shorts. Don’t know if the clothes are of the best quality and fashion but at least it’s something new. Really happy with the shoes however.

Visiting a friend in Jomtien
Nice pool relaxing at my friends place in Jomtien today. Maybe I’ll rent a condo too at some point as it provides a good value for money, not least in a less overheated place as Jomtien. For 16000 Baht (about 400 USD a month he gets a newly refurbished 3 room apparent with two bathrooms and a kitchen area and also a gorgeous swimming pool area free to use at any time during the day.
I also took the chance to take a look at the beach road on my way back, a very relaxed and calm place compared to the Pattaya beach road. But looked nice anyway.
Street Food – cheap and delicious
I found a great place in Pattaya to by fruit and Thai fast food. A pad Thai to go here was 30 Baht (less than 1 USD). The next day I bought chicken and rice and got a onion soup included, for 50 Baht (just over 1 USD). I find the street food delicious and very affordable. The perfect snack whenever hunger sets in.

Everyday life
My friends left me this Sunday which means I have a little more time for work and normal everyday business now.
It’s quite nice to come to a new place, explore the surroundings, and find a nice routine for your daily life. I am now staying in a quite nice hotel located between Pattaya and Jomtien.
Today was such a perfect and relaxed day. Slept until late, worked, swam in the pool, worked again, found a great place to have dinner right down the street from the hotel.
Now it’s late but I will continue to work since I feel so good and have worked up somewhat a work flow.
Leaving Chiang Mai going south
The hotel in Chiang Mai
Except maybe for the airplanes taking of and passing right above our hotel, it was a really great value for the buck. It was calm and quiet during the night though so I woke up refreshed and happy in the mornings.
Doi Suthep – temple and national park
Chiang mai is famous for temples and beautiful nature. In Doi Suthep you get to experience both. As a bonus these handsome fellows appeared right before we left.
Taking a look around, and eating delicious food

In the basement floor of the Maya shopping center there is a kind of food court with really low priced and delicious food. This meal was just 55 Bath, just above 1.5 USD.

Korean food, don’t know if I ever tried that before, but it was just about the most delicious thing I ever tasted
Nice weekend and travel time is getting closer
Being my own barber since at least a year now. I find it to be really fun and a perfect creative challenge. Guess it started a little bit of a way to save a buck but I soon realized that I to a much higher degree ended up with with a hair cut that I liked.
I mean honestly how often do you exit the barber shop really happy with the result? 🙂
Anyway, had a great weekend with friends and now this week the full focus is on working to comple everything that I want to have finished before I go my trip I feel really inspired both by of the work and towards the upcoming adventure. It will be really cool to go solo on a long distance trip like this. I will meet my friends on the destination and of course there’s also the stop in Beijing.. Haha can’t really believe it yet.Enjoying winter world
Above zero today and clear blue sky, I am taking the chance to Explore the eyes of lake Sommen before it’s too late and the ice melts into water. Such an incredible beautiful day.
